WeWork
Chief Product & Experience Officer at WeWork, scaling from thousands to millions of square feet.
WeWork
In August 2015, WeWork acquired CASE — the BIM consultancy I’d founded — making it their first acquisition. I joined WeWork and eventually became Chief Product & Experience Officer.
The Scale
When CASE first started consulting at WeWork, there were a few hundred thousand square feet of space. In just 4 years, we grew that to opening 2 million square feet and selling 3 million square feet per month.
The learning, friendships, achievements, and impact from those years are things I’m very proud of and will cherish for the rest of my life.
What I Did
As Chief Product & Experience Officer, I was responsible for the technology, design, and member experience that powered WeWork’s global operations. The work drew directly on everything I’d learned at CASE — how technology could transform the way physical spaces are designed, built, and operated — but at a scale I never imagined.
Moving On
In April 2019, I went on paternity leave to welcome our second daughter. During that time, I decided not to return. I announced my departure in October 2019 and began building what would become Teal.
Looking back, I was happiest when I was building things that customers loved with people that I shared a mission and purpose with. That realization guided everything that came next.
